El Tamarindo Cafe "Salvadoran Cuisine"

So, I am super excited because I discovered this place all by myself. No one told me about it, I didn't read any reviews on it. (Although there are many) I was driving down North Federal Highway and eventually got lost. I then found out that I was in Ft. Lauderdale, and I continued driving towards I-95. There is lots of commerce along State Road, so as usual what got me lost in the first place was that I tend to pay attention to many things in my surroundings and not where I am heading. Fortunately for me, this enabled to spot the small and not so attractive restaurant " El Tamarindo Cafe".

During this end of semester, there were many people that asked me to go and drop them of at the airport in Ft. Lauderdale. So this friend asks me to go a drop him of. However, his flight left at 1:00am so we had a lot of time to get to the airport. We ended up going to eat to this restaurant, and it was unbelievable how different it was from the inside. (Very upscale I must say) I knew that this was a Latin American Bistro but had no Idea that it was mainly Salvadoran. How do I know you might ask? Well for starters they sell Pupusas, which are our national dish. (They were so good that I might go after posting this). The food had so much flavor to it that it felt like if I was home. They offered our thick tortillas, and everything was just prepared in a Salvadoran flavor.

The following is the picture of the best food on Earth. (I am so carried away)

Pupusas

I would HIGHLY recommend you to try this restaurant out. Although it is a bit far it is worth the drive. They also offer specials that are not in the menu on the weekends such as 'ceviches' and 'cocteles'

Tamarindo Cafe is located at:
233 W State Rd 84
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315

  2. Alberto, let me tell you that you have beaten my record on finding posts on a blog page that has things I am really interested in. 3 out of 3!! In addition, I found your story hilarious; on how to find random restaurants. I cannot imagine what your face would have looked like, maybe priceless!

In addition, I have been to this restaurant and I would totally agree with you; that how it looks outside is totally different on how it is inside. In addition, I got a big suprise when I saw the variety of food this restaurant offers. Moreover, I got the Pupusas and a Chicken Tamal, and let me tell you that it was pretty good the food.

I want you to Congratulate you with this blog! And definitely, I will be coming to your blog more often to seek a better record. Plus, I'm excited to know what a ***** restaurant you will going to come up with. Great job!!

    Cheers****
